On May 15, 2026, b3 will release their new studio album, “THE NEXT STEP!”—a work that goes far beyond a conventional musical experience and marks the logical next step in the band’s evolution.
With this new album, Andreas Hommelsheim and Lutz Halfter present a versatile, emotional, and sonically mature sound that embraces b3’s musical roots while simultaneously breaking new ground. Featuring melodic pop-rock, jazz vibes, and a touch of the 80s, the album unfolds as a work that combines musical depth with immense passion.
Yet “THE NEXT STEP!” is more than just an album. Both the CD EarBook Edition and the elaborately designed 2LP MediaBook invite listeners to immerse themselves deeply in the world of b3. In addition to personal insights into the band’s history and biographical milestones from Andreas Hommelsheim, the extensive booklet contains a wealth of additional content—including recollections of old West Berlin, exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, curated wine recommendations paired with individual songs, as well as unique recipe ideas and photographs from the band’s private archives.
